1987

Nissan decided development with an engine for exclusive use of the race, and VEJ30 was developed newly by Yoshikazu Ishikawa. However, it was not able to play an active part in the race because it was based on old design thought.

1988

VEJ30 was improved by Yoshimasa Hayashi, and it was named VRH30.
Its displacement volume was finally extended to 3.4L.
He started development of VRH35 in parallel with VEJ30 improvement.

1989
