, moving to Chicago, Illinois in 1913. For a brief time in the 1940s Dominique stopped performing and began working as a porter at the Chicago Airport. In the 1950s, however, Dominique began playing again in his own Creole Dance Band which featured Johnny's younger brother Baby Dodds
, among others. He continued to remain active throughout the 1960s, and rarely performed after that time.
