Studied under the tutelage of Sanford Meisner at the Neighborhood Playhouse. she got her first soap opera role on The Guiding Light in 1970 and appeared until 1974 as the character Kit Vested. Then she went on to her most remembered role on the television soap opera Ryan's Hope as Jillian Coleridge, where she remained until the show ended in 1989. Later that same year, she got the role of Marissa Rampal on All My Children
