Mount Jim Crow
Encyclopedia
Just thought that I might add a little to this story. It has been many years since I first climbed Mt Jim Crow with a group of Boy Scouts; the 10th. Rockhampton group. There was a trig point on the top and a heap of stones with a glass bottle and screw top lid fitted between the stones. Messages could left for future climbers. I wonder if it is still there. I remember arriving at the trig point one morning just after sun-rise. There was fog all around and only the tops of mountains like Iron Pot and Mt. wheeler etc. could be seen. They looked like small islands standing in a sea of white water; a very beautiful sight. An exhausting climb but well worth the effort. Jimlin
