Mormonads are designed to provide spiritual and/or moral messages to their readers (who do not have to be LDS). They are usually found as one-page posters in the New Era. Mormonads usually feature a brief message, scripture reference from the Church's scriptures, and a photo-illustration or painting supporting it. The name "Mormonad" has since been changed to "New Era Poster" in more recent editions of the magazine.
