After a year at U.D. Leiria he moved to Vitoria FC where he spent the 2005–2006 season playing 27 games. In July 2006 Sougou accepted a contract at U.D. Leiria where he moved after completing a medical to complete his return to the club.

After completing his return to the club, Sougou made 37 appearances in total in his second spell at the club, scoring also 6 goals. U.D. Leiria accepted an offer for him from the Portuguese Liga
