"My dad was a medic and a pharmacist, so he couldn't leave," said Milun. "I saw my mom and my sister every two weeks, but it was hard being away from my family."
The family reunited in 1995 when they emigrated to Canada.

"When I was 15, I knew that after I got my driver's license, I wanted a decent-looking car," he said. "I had my own hosting company (on the Internet), and then I started analyzing where a lot of people go on the web. There were a lot of places where music and video games were available, but what I saw was music lyrics wasn't that well represented.
"So I made a quick script with my own code and started a database of music lyrics. ... It cost $9 a month to buy up the domain."

Early life

How Metrolyrics Started
Milun tells the story of how MetroLeap Media Inc. was formed:"When I was 15, I knew that after I got my driver's license, I wanted a decent-looking car," he said. Licensing Lyrics
In April 2008 a deal was signed with Gracenote to license their database of song lyrics, making MetroLyrics the first lyrics dedicated website to offer a fully licensed, legal database. Under this licensing agreement, artists and publishers are provided compensation every time their work is viewed on MetroLyrics.Honors and awards
