Messing With a Friend is a long-form improv show, performed weekly at the Annoyance Theater in Chicago, created by and co-starring Susan Messing
. It has been running throughout the Chicago area and various improv festivals nationwide since 2004. Each week, the show features different notable guest performers from various theaters, television shows and films.
Regarding the show's form and guests, Messing has said "The one rule I have is 'If you don’t have fun, you’re the asshole.'"
