Accident

The aircraft was on a short-haul flight from Jakarta

 to Achmad Yani International Airport. There were 79 passengers and six crew on board. At 18:45pm Flight 422 touched down on the runway at Achmad Yani International Airport and overran the end of the runway. Flight 422 travelled into a ditch and broke in three. There was no fire when the aircraft stopped but the aircraft was damaged beyond repair. None of the 85 passengers and crew were killed or injured in the accident.

Cause

The pilots let the aircraft touch down too far along the runway in heavy rain, leaving insufficient distance for the aircraft to stop.
