E-Guard
It is an armoured version of E-Sedan with category VR4 (formerly B4) protection level. Engine choices include E 350, E 500, E 350 CDIBlueEFFICIENCY. The vehicles are reinforced with steel and aramid. Other standard equipment include run-flat tyres rated for top speed ( at when deflated), a special Level II version of the AIRMATIC air suspension system, modified electronic control and restraint systems. Optional equipment include emergency alarm system, intercom system, underbody armour, ELEGANCE line or the AVANTGARDE line.
The High-Protection package for E-Guard has MSRP of €45,000 (German list price excl. VAT). E-Guard went on sale in April 2009.
E 250 BlueTEC (2009)
It is a concept vehicle based on E 250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY sedan, but with urea injection. It also included 7G-TRONIC transmission.

A second wave starts again in September and October on primetime premieres and into the start of the NFL and college football seasons. The campaign was complemented with a mix of gatefold, page and spread creative in print as well as on-line creative. The complementary print campaign features four inspiring versions entitled "Future of the Automobile," "More Advanced," "Engineering Afficionados" and "Changes the Game." Digital ads include 3-D custom homepage takeover of the NYTimes, Reuters, Washington Post and WSJ.com. Other initiatives include digital extensions of offline programs via FoxSports (MLB), Golf Channel and PGA as well as online media. Radio marketing includes three 50-second radio spots and an E-Class direct mailing piece targeting current, former and prospective owners.
In the 'Ignite' commercial, it showed the E-class car had a malfunctioning airbag during the startup sequence.
