Band members are Babak Akhondi (guitars), Dara Daraee (bass, vocals), Farzam Rahimi (vocals, songwriter), Reza Moghaddas (keyboards), and Kasra Ebrahimi (percussion programming and drums).

The band has been one of the pioneers of modern Iranian rock music, after the revolution. With careful maneuvering, Meera was one of the first Iran based rock acts to be able to gain state approval for an official album release.
