"MD's" (as parishioners call it colloquially) will merge with Holy Cross to form the new Our Lady of the Cross parish. It is unknown if the new parish will continue traditional Polish customs and culture.

Currently, parishioners are raising funds and holding a 24/7 vigil in the church in order to keep it open. An appeal has already been made to the Vatican.
