Career

On top of teaching cooking techniques to her 40 students at her Tijuana, Mexico home, Valladolid also runs a catering company. Her first cooking show was

Fresh Mexico: 100 Simple Recipes for True Mexican Flavor debuted in August 2009 and has since received positive reviews. Her book and the subsequent "Mexican Made Easy" show was designed to show the world there’s no "yellow cheese" in real Mexican cooking and that her Mexican culinary style can be done with "fresh flavor that fits all." The show's first season debuted in January 2010 and films in San Diego where Valladolid currently resides.

She has also appeared in Food Network's Throwdown! with Bobby Flay
