. It was first published serially in several episodes in children's magazine Xophura also edited by then Dr.Bhabendra Nath Saikia. Although Bhabendra Nath Saikia said that the novel was meant for especially teenagers, it is still popular among all age group of readers. The novel was later translated into English by National Book Trust . Translation was done by Ashok Bhagawati and the name of the English version is Dear Father
