During ths Spanish regime, he was a Relator de la Real Audencia de Manila, as well as its judge-at-large. He eventually became a judge in Manila

Manuel Araullo High School in Manila is named after him. Araullo University in Nueva Écija, where he had a long stint as a judge, was also dedicated to him.
