. Majority of Mamund live in one of the seven tribal regions of Pakistan "Bajaur Agency", although Mamund also live in the Marawara District of Kunar Province in Afghanistan. Haji Mohammad Seraj Mamund is the current tribal head of Afghan Mamunds. Today the tribe population exceeds a little over a million.
