His Emmerdale contract was terminated in April 2009 due to his conviction, with his last appearance in the show occurring the same month. On 29 April 2009, Tittensor received a 9-month suspended jail sentence for the assault. He was also ordered to complete 200 hours unpaid work and pay £1,000 compensation to the victim.
