The label was founded in Glasgow on 7 July 2007, by Mike Slott, Dominic Sum Flannigan, Martyn Flyn, and Ross Birchard (now more commonly recognised as the Warp Records

The group now boasts a large roster of UK, American & Canadan djs and producers with their releases often tipped as a credible source of innovative new electronic music and artwork. The group pride itself on being a family and not a traditional record label. They appear to deliberately defy classification by working across different genre and medium.
