Salem was formed in Gainesville, FL, August 2002 by former members of the post-hardcore band As Friends Rust. Shortly after forming, the band had managed to tour worldwide as well as appear on the Warped Tour before signing in 2003 to Fiddler Records...
's sole release. Most of these songs were played live at shows before the EP was recorded.
