At the 1992 Qantas Media Awards she won the Steinlager Prize for best single human relations story and in 1993 an award for best tourism story. In 1996 she was also a finalist for the Best Presenter at the NZ Film & Television Awards.
On June 28, 2010 she appeared on Shortland Street as Brooke Freeman's mother.
