Toronto has been the site of several skyscraper construction projects in recent years. The most recently completed skyscraper in the city is the Bay Adelaide Centre West Tower, which was constructed in 2009 and rises 218 metres (715 ft). The tallest building approved for construction in the city is One Bloor East
