The following is a list of all farm and ranch to market roads in the Rio Grande Valley
region of Texas
. Ranch roads, primarily located in the western half of Texas, are part of the farm to market road system and never share the same numerical designations as farm roads. There are no ranch to market roads in the Rio Grande Valley. All roads in the system are maintained by the Texas Department of Transportation
(TxDOT).
Since 1995, some farm to market roads in Cameron
and Hidalgo
counties wholly or in part have been reassigned under a new classification called urban roads which are listed separately in the TxDOT highway designation files. These roads, however, still are signed with farm to market shields.
