On March 15, 2007, Li Chun (along with Qian Lin) was officially announced to be joining the eighth generation of all girl J-pop group Morning Musume
as a "foreign student". Tsunku believed that she and Qian Lin would be key for Morning Musume's planned expansion into Asia
in 2007.
Three days later, on March 18, she made her Japanese television debut on Hello! Morning
. Within the same week, she moved to Tokyo

Her first stage appearance took place during Morning Musume leader Hitomi Yoshizawa
's graduation concert on May 6, 2007 at Saitama Super Arena

In 2009, she was assigned to be apart of the new shuffle group zoku v-u-den, along with Sayumi Michishige
and Risako Sugaya

On August 8, 2010, Tsunku it was announced that in the Morning Musume 2010 Rival Survival fall concert tour Junjun would graduate from Morning Musume along with Linlin and Eri Kamei.
They graduated the last day of the tour(December 15, 2010).
Junjun sung "Furusato" for her departure.
In late August 2011, she was announced to be casting in a Chinese school-life movie "Love for a second" and in early September 2011, she was discovered be now enrolling in the famous Beijing Film Academy studying Performance Arts.
