The group range from complete beginners to very well informed amateurs and who welcome anybody with an interest in their family history. The members' interests cover most places in Great Britain and some further afield. Very few, if any, are looking for their ancestors locally. For this reason they do not have talks that concentrate on local history but they look at the subject from a broader angle.

The society is a member of the Federation of Family History Societies

Meetings

They meet for an 8 pm start on the third Wednesday of each month (except August and December) at The Clulow Room, St George's Church, Norton Way North, Letchworth.
