Overview

Set up in 2004 by Leicester born basketball player Karl Brown the Warriors also run community based programmes addressing social issues as well as encouraging participation in basketball.

2007 saw the Warriors winning their first major trophy. The Leicester Warriors won the Patrons Cup Final at the Newcastle Arena on 4 March 2007. They beat the Bristol Flyers

The 2008-09 season saw a whole new team for the Leicester Warriors. They have signed a young new line up with up and coming players from Leicester, these included R O'Neal, J Munroe, M White, D Jones, D Sailbury, O Solomon, N Weaver, K Patel and a few players from the previous season. They play in the EBL division 2 league and are coached by ex-England team
