Lee Yoo-jin
Encyclopedia
Lee Yoo-jin is a half-Korean, half-Hispanic actress and model who debuted from Super Elite Model Contest in Seoul in 1998. She was born to a Hispanic-American father in the U.S. Army and a Korean mother.

In May 2003, she held a tearful news conference to finally admit that she was biracial. Lee said her father married her mother in 1976 while stationed in Korea, but that after Lee was born, he returned to the United States and got a divorce. Lee said she has no intention of seeing him.

Lee is registered in her maternal grandfather's family registry, and according to the document, she is her mother's sister. In school, she said she always wrote her grandfather's name instead of her father's name.

She spent a couple of years in Japan after admitting she was biracial, but has since returned to Korea and the entertainment business.
