It was during his first stint at the Belle Vue
that Hunt has found most success. Helping the club clinch the Welsh Premier League title in 2003–04 along with the Welsh Cup and the Welsh League Cup
, the English stirker scored 7 league goals in 10 starts. After helping the club to a second place spot the following season, Hunt was named in the Welsh Premier Dream Team for 2005. Another Welsh cup medal in 2005–06, followed by a runners up medal for both the Welsh Cup and Welsh Premier League earning Hunt to be named in the Welsh Premier League Dream Team for a second time. After helping Rhyl to the Welsh Cup final a second season running, Hunt gained the attention of newly promoted Conference National
club Barrow
. After 5 seasons, 60 goals and 119 games, Hunt signed for Barrow in May 2008, claiming he was being victimised by the domestic referees in the Welsh Premier League as a reason for joining his new club.
Hunt's stay at Holker Street
was a short one. Scoring just two goals from 18 starts, Hunt was loaned out to Droylsden
and Fleetwood Town
before being released by Barrow for failing to score more goals at the level needed.
Re-joining Welsh Champions Rhyl in July 2009, Hunt went on to score 13 goals in 20 outings before rejoining former club Bangor City on the last day of transfers in February 2010, after being rumoured to join Aberystwyth Town
.
Hunt made his debut for the Citizens at home against Haverfordwest County on 20 Feb 2010, scored his first goal, again at home, against Carmarthen Town
on 20 March 2010 and his first hat-trick, since his return, during Bangor City's 7–1 thrashing over Caersws
on 17 April 2010. While at Farrar Road, Hunt also picked up another Welsh Cup medal, also scoring in the Final
.
Despite the promise of European football during the 2010–11 season, Hunt joined rival North Wales outfit Prestatyn Town
on 19 May 2010.
In June 2011 he joined Bala Town
