 for the 2009–10 season in May 2009 but the club elected to release him at the beginning of August with Corby's manager Graham Drury citing that he felt Dudfield would not be able to provide enough goals to make the club competitive in Blue Square North. Dudfield was unhappy with the manner of his departure, viewing the club to be in breach of contract and he considered legal action over the matter. Shortly afterwards, he decided to retire from football.

Return to Boston United
