Webster grew up in Elkton, MD, where he attended Elkton High School and later the University of Maryland. He was drafted in the third round of the 1992 NFL draft by the Miami Dolphins.

Webster is currently an assistant coach for the Baltimore Polytechnic Engineers football team.
