Career

Burright graduated from Mark Keppel High School

 in 1956. He signed with the Dodgers the following year and played a few seasons in their minor league organization. In 1961, he hit .255 and was called up to major league club in 1962. Burright played second base for the Dodgers along with Jim Gilliam

Burright was traded to the Mets in the offseason. He didn't play much in 1963 and was sent to the minor league Buffalo Bisons

in early 1964. He batted .224 for Buffalo.

Burright retired from baseball in 1965.
