History

The label was founded in 1992 for the release of the second CD of the band Sturmschäden, in which one of the label´s founders was singing. In the following 15 years Langstrumpf became the home of lots of other bands and artists. The music cannot be limited to a specific genre. Nearly all bands were young german rock and punk bands, except the french Forguette Mi Note, the former group of french singer Julie B. Bonnie.
The label was well known because radio presenter John Peel played some of the releases on his show on BFBS Radio.
