La Bandera was a young mutant with the power to influence groups of people to do whatever she wills. Additionally, La Bandera could fire energy blasts from her staff, the potency of which was determined by the number of people she was "inspiring" at the time.

What If?

She has a brief appearance at the end of What If issue that ask What if Magneto took over the US (a follow-up to "What If Cable Destroyed the X-Men). After the mutant resistance is crushed, she is recruited from a concentration camp by Wolverine to form the new X-Men.
