College

Officially joined the East Carolina football program as a walk-on prior to spring drills and earned subsequent roster position. A member of the scout team who did not experience game action during the fall. ECU former defensive coordinator, Greg Hudson, remarked that this player had "a lot on his plate" academically and was "smarter than four or five players put together". Danso achieved a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Engineering from this university in 2009.  He additionally studied Hospitality Management with ultimate goals of starting his own business, rebuilding in Ghana, and helping to make clean water more accessible in third world countries.[2] It was in the midst of pursuing a masters degree in Occupational Safety that he was invited to Cleveland Browns' training camp.

, was paramount in starting this player's journey in the NFL. In attendance at ECU's 2010 pro day, he found himself completely in awe of Danso's sheer strength (bench-pressing an impressive 225 pounds 39 times) and struck by the look in his eyes.  Ryan scouted players with much more experience, but Danso was the one he kept remembering.  Danso signed with the Cleveland Browns

 on May 17, 2010.[1] He was waived/injured on August 24, 2010.  Before football, soon after coming to the United States 2002, Danso worked as a butcher, a nightclub bouncer (where he was first encouraged by Washington Redskins Players to try the game), and balanced up to four jobs simultaneously in order to pay for school.  At this time, he desires to continue playing. In the future, he aims to use his career in football as a platform to run his own constriction business and give back to the community through philanthropic endeavors and mentorship.[2]

Personal

Apart from daily workouts and football conditioning, Danso focuses his time on charitable causes and faithfully attends his local church.  He collaborates with nearby charities such as Associated Catholic Charities

 and desires  to one day soon start his very own charitable organization.  Meanwhile he volunteers his time mentoring teenagers at Fort Meade High School.   He also enjoys golfing, shooting ranges, and cooking.[2]
