. Developing young scientists is one of the important programs of Kumari Arivial Peravai.

Last year the camp was conducted at Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari. The title given for Developing Young Scientists Programme was “ENERGY MANAGEMENT FOR THE NEXT DECADE”. About 80 students of class 9th to 12th from various schools had participated in this programme.

The title chosen for this year Programme is “GLOBAL WARMING AND CHALLENGES TO THE ENVIRONMENT” About 450 students of classes 9th to 12th from various schools have participated in the seminar conducted at St.Josephs Matric.H.S.School Nagercoil on 14-7-2007.A training programme was conducted at SNM Hindu vidyalaya, Nagercoil on 2-9-2007 for 90 students, to prepare project Report. These 90 students have presented their report before eminent scientists on 29-9-2007 at Amala Matric School, Thuckalay .They also displayed their posters in the Natural camp conducted in Association with District Forest office on 6-10-2007 at Pechiparai.

Next programme on ‘Global warming EXPO-KAP-2007’ was held on 17-11-2007 at Women's Christian College, Nagercoil. About 60 students were filtered from the 90 students based on their performances in the previous programmes. These students displayed their models on the above said theme during the children’s day celebration. From this model display 10 students were eliminated and 50 young scientists are selected. For the selected young scientists various programmes are being conducted.The final evaluation camp of young scientists will be held on 26 and 27 April 2008 at Vivekananda Kendra, kanyakumari.
