On 23 October 2007, Kubichek! announced on their Myspace that lead singer Alan McDonald had left the band. McDonald continues to make music and upload it on his Myspace

With Michael 'Frog' Coburn taking on vocal duties, the band added Graham Thompson to the line-up to take over on bass, but he quit the band in early 2008. On July 4, 2008, Kubichek! announced on their Myspace page that the band had decided to split up saying that "After Alan left we did a few shows, but to be honest it just didn't feel as though it was what we wanted.". The remaining members have since formed a new band called the 'Black Flashes'.
