Kjeller is Norway's first airport, built in 1912. In the first part of the 20th century there was a small aircraft factory building military planes. There is now a small aircraft museum.
The largest plane to have landed at Kjeller is a Boeing 737 and it is frequently used by C-130 Hercules transports.
