History

Established around 1980 in the Argos Youth Centre in Kirkcaldy

, the band was initially called the Argos Pipe Band. The Pipe Major at the time was James Forbes. The band merged with pipers from the Kirkcaldy United Services Institute near the centre of the town. The Pipe Major at this time was John Cushnie. Some years later the band moved their base to Balwearie High School and took the current name.
