College career

As a true freshman in 2008, Wright played in all 12 games and led the team in receptions with 50, receiving yards with 649 yards and five touchdowns. The 50 receptions and 649 receiving yards were Baylor freshman records. He also played 13 games for the basketball team. As a sophomore in 2009, Wright again was the teams leading receiver with 66 receptions for 740 yards and five touchdowns. He was a All-Big 12 honorable mention. As a junior in 2010, he was named a second team All-Big 12 selection after recording 78 receptions for 952 yards and seven touchdowns. The 78 receptions set a school record for most receptions in a season.

Through the first five games of his senior season, Wright has 40 receptions for 621 yards and seven touchdowns.
