by just 37 votes after a recount. He is currently a member of the Education Finance, the Education Reform and the Public Safety and Crime Prevention Policy and Finance committees. On May 21, 2011, he joined the House Republican Majority in voting for a constitutional amendment to define marriage as a legal bond exclusively between a man and woman.
