The Karuah River is a major river in the Great Lakes Area of the Australia

. It is fed by numerous creeks and streams on the south side of the Gloucester Tops Ranges which makes up part of the Great Dividing Range
.
The river makes its way down to the village of Booral and onwards through scrubland in to the Great Lakes system.
Initially named Clyde by Lachlan Macquarie
, the use of the aboriginal name became prevalent subsequently.
