. He's one of the most outstanding Namibian rappers. He's considered a pioneer of the Namibian hip hop genre. He has produced for most of the rappers in Namibia and is responsible for the success of many Namibian rappers including Jericho, Catty Catt, Quido

Shilongo runs his own record label Black Market Music which is home to Catty Catt. He signed to Mshasho Records in 2010. In June 2010 Kanibal was ranked second on a list of Namibia's top 10 MCs by Fresh FM.

Music career

Kanibal rose to fame in 2004 as a member of the hip hop group Militants. Through his label Black Market Music he recorded and produced songs which became very popular between 2004 and 2005. Black Market dominated the underground and mainstream music scene during that era. Although he would market himself as a producer he also rap. As a member of the Militants he produced and appeared on two well received underground songs "Took Cool - Remix" and "Fallen Angle".

Between 2006 - 2009 Kanibal took a break from rapping and concentrated on producing. He returned to music in 2009 as a solo artist with his breakthrough hit single "Corner" which featured D-Jay and Dante. The song was followed by a successful remix that featured his long time friend and rhyme partner Catty Catt and new rappers KK and Lil' D. This was Kanibal's most celebrated song of all times. . A third song titled "Kadhona (Don't Cry)" was released towards the end of 2009. It sampled a popular Oshiwambo traditional classic performed by Tate Kwela. The song was well received and it paved way to another two hit songs "Always Open" and "Grind Everyday" which were released in 2010.

Joining Mshasho

After releasing about five well received songs, Kanibal announced the title of his debut album From Windhoek With Love. He is currently working on the album which is set to be released under Mshasho Records in mid 2011.

 that he was checking into rehab. However on the 18th of March 2011 Kanibal wrote "I'm back!!!! Black Market for life, Mshasho till I die!!!" on his Facebook profile. His debut song for Mshasho titled "Single" is currently charting in the top ten on major radio stations in Namibia. Producer role

Kanibal first found success as a producer at the inception of his career. He produced most of the Militants songs including also solo songs by himself and Militants members. His beats contained a feel-good smooth spanish guitar combined with hard drums. Kanibal produced rapper Jericho breakthrough single "Check Who's Back" 2004. He produced for D-Jay and KK.
