Shortly after sign-on, Fox 31 partnered with television station KPVI to provide a 9 o'clock pm newscast Monday through Friday. The concept died off after a few years and entertainment programming returned to the timeslot.

However, as of October 30, 2006; KPVI is trying a 9 o'clock newscast again on sister station KFXP which is titled "KPVI on Fox News at 9" as well as KXTF Fox 35 which airs in the Magic and Wood River Valleys.
