The U.S. Joint Forces Command (disestablished as of 4 August 2011) now U.S. Transportation Command Joint Enabling Capabilities Command (JECC) employs and manages USTRANSCOM Joint Enabling Capabilities (JEC) for Global Response Force execution and emerging operational requirements. When directed, USTRANSCOM JECs provide immediate, short-duration support to establish, organize and operate a Joint Task Force (JTF) Headquarters.
The JECs consist of Joint Deployable Teams (JDT), the Joint Communications Support Element (JCSE), and the Joint Public Affairs Support Element (JPASE).
Joint Deployable Teams (JDT)
Task organized to meet mission requirements, composed of trained and ready joint officers (O3-O6) Information Superiority (J2), Operations (J3), Logistics (J4/J1), Plans (J5), and Knowledge Management (J6). The JDT provides a catalyst for JTF HQ to form rapidly with trained and skilled joint officer teams and serve the Commander with joint planning and execution capabilities.

capability for joint military operations worldwide; Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff designated joint proponent and sponsor for Public Affairs; Premier Public Affairs and Strategic Communication trainer for the joint force. JPASE provides a trained, equipped, scalable and expeditionary Public Affairs capability to support worldwide operational requirements.
