He is the current Australian Champion and Elapsed Time (ET) record holder for this category (5.805 seconds).

On Sept 18th 2005, John became the first legal Top Doorslammer driver in the world to record an ET under six seconds, with an elapsed time (ET) of 5.967 seconds at approximately 242 mph (108 m/s).

John is also the current Australian Top Doorslammer Champion, winning the "Pro Series" Championship for four years straight in 2007/08, 2008/09,2009/10 and 2010/11.
