Jim Negrych

James William Negrych is an American professional baseball
infielder
in the Florida Marlins
organization. Negrych was a two-time All-American at the University of Pittsburgh
(2005 and 2006). Negrych was drafted in the 6th round by the Pittsburgh Pirates
in the 2006 draft. He was the first Pittsburgh Panthers player drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates since Ken Macha
in 1972. In 2008, Negrych was the Pittsburgh Pirates minor league player of the year. In 2011, Negrych was traded to the Florida Marlins
organization for catcher Carlos Paulino. At the end of the season, Negrych had a career .302 batting average
through six seasons.
