Academic meet

In 2008, the academic team won the 2A UIL State Championship. Lane Quinney, and Amanda Burley both placed first. Quinney in Accounting and Burley in Calculator. Payden Johnson and Jada Yarbrough placed second individually; Johnson in Social Studies and Yarbrough in Accounting. The Social Studies team won first, Accounting and Spelling were runner-up. This marked the first time Jim Ned has won the state academic meet.
