Tarrant was projected to be a third- or fourth-round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, but ended up not being drafted. The only Georgia Tech player to be drafted was running back Anthony Allen, in the seventh round.Tarrant was signed by the New York Giants in the 2011 free agent signing period.
