Jarbidge Wilderness

The Jarbidge Wilderness is located in the upper elevations of the Jarbidge Mountains

. Established in 1964, it was the first wilderness area in the state. Expanded in 1989, this wilderness is now over 113,000 acres (457 km2), and is managed by the Humboldt National Forest.
