While Adamou was not a finalist in The X Factor with her sixth place finish, she did manage to obtain a record deal with Sony Music Greece, an affiliate of the show. Her elimination was the source of a publicized dispute- both on air during The X Factor and in the press- between representatives of Sony Music Greece and Theofanous.

It was certified gold for shipments of six thousand units. She was featured on hip hop group Stavento's hit summer single "San Erthei I Mera", remaining in the top five of the Greek Airplay Chart for 20 weeks, and selling 60 thousand legal downloads. She toured Greece along with Stavento over the summer 2010. Also that year she collaborated with the Spiros Lambrou Choir and released the holiday EP Christougenna Me Tin Ivi Adamou, released as Christmas with Ivi Adamou abroad.
