Though third member Frank Xavier also hails from Wollongong, the other two did not meet him until they had relocated to Sydney some time later. The band then signed on with local music identity Nathaniel Makaveli as their manager who then would shop them around to a long list of labels before signing with Thunk.

Originally signed to the Australian underground electronic label Thunk, over time the trio's music has gradually evolved from being not only aimed at the rave and club scenes, but widening in scope to also include traditional pop-song structures. This was demonstrated on their 2004 single "Girls Can Be Cruel" which received airplay on Australia's alternative music radio station Triple J
